Pressure Release Valves Sales Increase
AKO UK have noticeably experienced a high demand for their Pressure Release Valves, with large quantities currently on test before being dispatched to the water, sewage, sludge and food industries everywhere. AKO pressure release valves are protecting more and more pumps from damage.
All Pinch Valves with the Pressure Release System assembled consist of a Manifold, Shrader connection, Gauge and Switch as an option.
The AKO Pressure Release Valve can come with a Switch if required. The Switch is used for indication purposes and detects if the valve is holding pressure correctly, or leaking, etc. AKO UK also provide additional accessories for their Valves, including spare sleeves, fitting kits, leak detection spray, heavy duty foot pumps and more.
The Flanged V/VF type Pressure Release Valves are more common due to their larger size, ranging from DN40 to DN200. However, AKO also supply Screwed Socket type Valves, which are available in smaller sizes DN10 to DN50.
The most common rubber sleeve/tube elastomer material used in these valves is Natural Rubber, which is fantastic for abrasive and aggressive media. Nitrile sleeves are also sometimes used, if the media has any traces of oil or fat in it. Other types of rubber sleeves available are neoprene, EPDM, butyle, silicon, and viton.
How does a Pressure Release Valve Work?
Pressure Release Valves are used to relieve pressure on pumps in sewage treatment plants. If the line pressure rises too high the PRV will open allowing product to pass through, relieving pressure in the line and on the pump.
