The Background of AKO
AKO is a family run company with the head office based in Germany, and subsidiaries based in the UK and France, with distributors of AKO products in countries all over the world. AKO is proud to have been in business for over 30 years now, manufacturing and supplying their Pinch Valve brand and other products into industrial sectors worldwide.
The German head office AKO Armaturen was founded by Antoine Kopp in 1984, with the development and sales of AKO Pinch Valves starting just a year later in 1985. AKO Innovations S.A.S in France was the first independent subsidiary to be established, following with AKO UK Ltd in Great Britain which was formed in 1998 to provide effective and productive distribution of AKO products in the UK.
Customer Satisfaction
The customer service level of AKO is maintained to a high standard due to the large levels of stock the companies keep to fulfill customer requirements as effortlessly as possible. After-sales backup is also a high priority for AKO, ensuring that all customers (new and existing) are satisfied to the best of the sales team’s ability.
To meet emerging customer demands, AKO’s product range expanded to include vibrating aerator pads for silo’s, knife gate valves, butterfly valves, pressure relief valves and special accessories.
The access to an extensive range of products, and thousands of different variants of the Pinch Valve, means that AKO can supply a reliable valve solution to meet your needs.
Popular Demand for Pinch Valve Products
More and more frequently, AKO are receiving enquiries from companies who have been using other valve types such as ball valves, which are becoming clogged over time. AKO replace many conventional ball valves with their pinch valves and over the years, have built up reputable case studies proving that the pinch valve shows a much higher performance of reliability compared to ball valves.
Engineers on industrial sites are more aware of the pinch valve nowadays, and often opt for this valve choice. The AKO Pinch Valve has a 100% leak tight seal, full and true bore, does not clog, is self cleaning, and has lightening fast opening and closing times.
