This metal wire/rope manipulating company have been using Pinch Valves for acid water for 40-50 years. They were originally having problems with the build up of product when using butterfly valves and knife gate valves, as they would not seal. This is why they changed to using Pinch Valves which they are a lot happier with.
The rubber sleeve (M150.03X) inside the AKO Pinch Valve has not yet needed to be replaced, but it is estimated that the lifetime of the sleeve will be 10+ years due to the application details.
When the time comes for the rubber sleeve inside the valve for acid water to be replaced, a fitting kit can be used. This consists of a mounting pipe, a piece of mounting wood, a pot of lubricant paste, and assembling nuts and bolts.
